About Me, Mathew
I’ve lived in Elmswell, Suffolk for five years with my partner and my two, now adult, children. I’m proud to be a supporter of the Tavern project as well as a volunteer at the Wesley. I’ve previously held a position as a committee member at Stowmarket Saturday Club and provided IT support & guidance as a volunteer there too. I believe that supporting your community and helping eachother is the best way to improve the lives of others as well as your own.
I’ve worked and played with technology all my life, as a child from age 5 starting with a ZX Spectrum 48k and then progressed through the years into corporate IT for large worldwide organisations implementing and managing systems and teaching people how to use them. Most recently I’ve worked in consultancy focusing on automation and AI. Technology is an area I really enjoy and I do spend lots of my freetime tinkering with software and experimenting, I believe artificial intelligence will be a net benefit to the world.
I’ve worked with some lovely people at some great organisations but several years ago I came to the conclusion that I would prefer to work for myself. I know that in this digital connected world, using technology is pretty much mandatory but it doesn’t come easily to everyone fortunately, however, it does to me. I enjoy helping people overcome their problems, it’s a win/win.
So that’s what I’m trying to do, I can be your IT support and tech guy, just like I am for my friends and family.
